01 / THE PROJECT

Project overview

Royal Peptide Labs already had an established and functional website when I joined the project. The core store existed and products were already being presented online, but the overall interface had started to feel outdated. The homepage in particular needed a stronger visual hierarchy, and several elements that could improve product discovery, credibility, and purchasing were either missing or not presented effectively. The objective was therefore not to replace the entire website.

Instead, I worked with the client to modernize the existing store, improve the customer experience, introduce missing functionality, and create a more polished visual system across the website.

This included redesigning key pages, improving product presentation, updating content and imagery, introducing a better certificate/analysis experience, and implementing quantity-based incentives for bulk customers.

Existing Website Challenges

The original website was functional, but several areas could be improved.

The primary issues included:

  • Outdated homepage presentation
  • Inconsistent UI across sections
  • Limited visual hierarchy
  • Older content and imagery
  • Important product information not presented clearly enough
  • Certificate and analysis information needing better organization
  • Missing bulk-purchase incentives
  • Product-related trust information needing stronger visibility
  • Overall interface requiring modernization

The project therefore combined visual redesign with practical e-commerce improvements.

03 / THE APPROACH

My recommendations

After reviewing the existing website, I recommended keeping the established WordPress/WooCommerce foundation and improving the areas that directly affected the customer experience. A complete platform rebuild was unnecessary. Instead, the priority became:

Modernize the UI → Improve Product Discovery → Strengthen Product Information → Improve Trust Elements → Add Bulk-Purchase Functionality

This allowed the business to improve the storefront without disrupting an existing operational website.

04 / THE EXECUTION

What I delivered

Complete UI Modernization

Updated the visual direction of the existing website to create a cleaner and more contemporary experience. The redesign covered typography, spacing, content hierarchy, imagery, product presentation, buttons, cards, sections, and other interface components. The objective was to make the website feel significantly more modern while remaining recognizable to existing customers.

Homepage Redesign

The existing homepage was one of the primary areas requiring improvement. I redesigned the homepage with a stronger visual hierarchy and clearer sections for products, supporting information, trust elements, and calls to action. The new structure made it easier for visitors to understand the brand and move toward relevant products.

Product Presentation

Improved the way products and important product information were displayed throughout the store. Key details were given clearer placement so customers could understand the essential information without searching through unnecessarily complicated layouts.

Certificate & Analysis Experience

An important requirement was improving how product-related certificates and analysis information were presented. I created a more structured interface where this information could be organized and accessed more clearly. A grid-based presentation was used to make certificates and related product documentation easier to browse and verify. This gave customers a more straightforward way to locate the relevant information associated with products.

Product & Certificate Connection

The certificate/analysis area was designed to work alongside the product catalog rather than existing as disconnected information. Relevant product details and supporting documentation could be presented in a more structured way, helping customers connect products with the available supporting information.

Bulk Order Discounts

The client also wanted to encourage larger purchases. A quantity-based discount structure was implemented so customers purchasing higher quantities could receive progressively better pricing. The intended structure included tiers such as:

5+ Units → 5% Discount
10+ Units → 10% Discount
15+ Units → 15% Discount

This introduced a clearer incentive for bulk customers while keeping the purchasing experience within the existing WooCommerce store.

WooCommerce Customization

Customized the existing WooCommerce experience to support the updated product layouts and purchasing requirements. Rather than relying solely on default WooCommerce presentation, the storefront was adapted to better match the redesigned UI.

Content Updates

Reviewed and updated website content where necessary to better fit the new layouts and improve clarity. Content presentation was also reorganized so that important information appeared at the right stage of the customer journey.

Image Updates

Existing imagery was reviewed and updated where stronger visuals were required. New and improved images helped support the modernized interface and created greater consistency across product and marketing sections.

Responsive Redesign

The redesigned experience was adapted across desktop, tablet, and mobile. Product grids, certificate layouts, content sections, navigation, buttons, and purchasing elements were reviewed to ensure the new UI remained usable across different screen sizes.

Key Challenge

The main challenge was modernizing an existing operational e-commerce website without unnecessarily rebuilding the entire platform. Royal Peptide Labs already had products, content, and an established WordPress/WooCommerce environment.

The project therefore required identifying what should remain and what genuinely needed improvement.

The final approach balanced:

Existing Store Infrastructure · Modern UI · Product Information · Customer Trust · Bulk Sales · Ease of Use

This allowed the website to evolve without introducing unnecessary disruption.

Client Collaboration

Royal Peptide Labs was a highly collaborative project. The client understood the redesign process and was open to discussing improvements rather than treating the initial requirement as fixed. We reviewed different areas of the existing website, discussed what could be improved, and refined the direction throughout implementation. That collaboration made it possible to improve not only the visual interface but also practical areas such as product information, certificate presentation, imagery, content, and bulk purchasing.

06 / THE OUTCOME

Outcome & results

Royal Peptide Labs evolved from an established but visually dated WooCommerce website into a more modern, structured, and customer-focused e-commerce experience. The project improved the homepage, overall UI, product presentation, content, imagery, certificate and analysis experience, responsive layouts, and bulk-order functionality while retaining the existing WordPress/WooCommerce foundation.

The addition of structured certificate information strengthened the product experience, while quantity-based discounts created a clearer path for larger purchases. Rather than redesigning purely for appearance, the project combined visual modernization with practical e-commerce improvements, making it one of the more comprehensive redesign projects in my WordPress portfolio.
